Customer Update Information

CMTSTM for Windows® release 5.070203m

Attention: CMTSTM for Windows® customers

You can upgrade to version 5.070203m now if you are on version 5.002 or version 4.004. You will need to know your current version before proceeding.

To determine your current version and the location, go to the main menu of CMTSTM for Windows® and click on [Help]>[About CMTS]. The version appears on the fourth line and must be 5.002 or later followed by a letter. The location appears on the fifth line and is the complete path to where the The location is usually c:\cmts40. If it is in at different location, that is OK, provided you know the complete path.

You may download the update using any computer with Internet access. If you choose to download from a computer other than the CMTSTM for Windows® computer, you will need to copy the update to the CMTSTM for Windows® computer. The step-by-step instructions for downloading the software are listed below. These steps apply to this download only. You will be notified by email regarding subsequent downloads. If you have any questions, please call. We will even be happy to walk you through the download and installation over the telephone. It only takes a couple of minutes.

Do not proceed unless you are on Version 5.002 or Version 4.204. Please contact us if you are on an earlier version.


CMTSTM for Windows® Step-By-Step Update Procedure

    Carefully read all the instructions before proceeding. Make certain you know your version and the name of the folder where CMTSTM for Windows® is located before beginning. Steps 1-2 may be performed on any computer. Steps 3-10 must be performed on the CMTSTM for Windows® computer. DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU ARE ON A VERSION EARLIER THAN 5.002!

  1. Download the update by clicking on the link below. The name of the file is [u070203.zip] Save it to your hard drive in the folder where CMTSTM for Windows® is located (Usually c:\cmts40).
  2. If you downloaded the file on a different computer, copy the file into the CMTSTM for Windows® folder of your CMTS computer. If not, skip this step.
  3. Run CMTSTM for Windows®. Insure that you are running version 4.204 or 5.002.
  4. Once in the program, Click on [File]>[Save]
  5. Go to the Members/Visitors/Others module by clicking ing on[View]>[Members/Visitors/Others] or by clicking on the icon with the blue people.
  6. Click on [File]>[Restore From Save or Backup]. In the [CMTS Database Restore] window, click on the button to the left of [Locate a Different Backup File]. Double-click on the folder where CMTS is located. Then ,highlight the file [u070203.zip] and click on [OK].
  7. From the database restore] window, click on [OK] again.
  8. From the DynaZip Warning window, click on [Yes to All.
  9. You are finished. Return to the main menu and verify that your version has changed. The version will only change at the main menu until the next update.
  10. click on [Help]>[Upgrade information] to learn what features have been implemented in this update.
